FAST Child shares feelings for the FAST program at Graduation |
Posted on Wednesday, December 10, 2008.
4th grade student at Whittier Elementary School, Carmen Nacho, recently graduated from our Summer 2008 FAST Program. Carmen attended the program with her mother, who is a single parent to her and her older sister. Carmen bravely spoke at the graduation expressing her feelings toward the FAST program. "What I liked most about my experience with the FAST program is making new friends and having more time to spend with my mom. I liked the many games we got to play together, especially the card game with the little faces on them. On the second to last weed we got to make graduation hats together with our names on them. When the next week we graduated it felt like you were graduating from your own school! I was proud. I think that the FAST program is important because families get to spend time together. Overall, I liked the program because I got to share time, games, and love with my mom.-Submitted by FAST team at Whittier Elementary School, Community and School Collaboration, Costa Mesa, California
